The Invisible Barrier to A Successful Marketing Campaign

It’s hard to create a successful marketing campaign when you find yourself thinking, “Am I really this good?” A key part of copywriting – whether you write your own content or work with a copywriter – requires positioning yourself as successful and confident.

As a copywriter myself, I find the copy flows most easily when my clients honestly believe they offer products and services that genuinely benefit their own clients. Yet all too often I meet competent professionals who have to force themselves to talk about their successes. It’s almost impossible to create great content when you’re thinking, “Deep down inside, I’m really a failure.”

And of course, nobody wants to admit that’s what they’re thinking.

The truth is, nearly everyone feels a sense of failure, sometimes. However, some people have developed effective ways to take charge of those feelings without going into a ridiculous denial spiral.

For example, business coach Pamela Bruner has developed not one but several six-figure businesses. She is also a professional musician who plays the harp (not the easiest instrument). And yet, she says, she experiences feelings of failure almost every day. It’s part of being an achievement-oriented person.

In the video below she uses a technique called “tapping” as a way to deal with feelings of failure. Never fear, we’re not going all woo-woo in this blog.

I am about as left-brained as they come and I’ve been impressed. Tapping seems to be a special form of self-hypnosis as well as a verbal form of meditation, both of which are now considered mainstream. It’s powerful. Pamela is also a solid, no-nonsense business coach.

I’ll be interviewing her next week to talk about growing a business or career with a unique combination of mindset and marketing. Of course we will be recording so if you miss the call, you can catch up afterward.

You can sign up for the free teleseminar here.

If you are new to tapping you can visit Pamela’s site and see some very convincing demos as she coaches real business people.

And now…enjoy this video:
