Pricing a teleseminar vs pricing the recording:
(1) You can offer the live teleseminar free or with a no-brainer pridce (such as $20). People sign up to attend live but pay considerably more for the recording.
This model makes a lot of sense; you cultivate good will and give participants a chance to get to know you. However, I think it’s not realistic to hope for live listeners regularly. Most people listen via recordings these days. Personally I get annoyed with programs that don’t allow me to catch the recording. People have lives! Even if you present the call two or three times in a day, it’s just not always possible to be there.
You can leave a recording up for 24-72 hours and then charge. I’ve done that.
(2) Offer both live and recoded content for the same price. When you have particularly valuable content, this option works well.
(3) Offer live content at a higher price than the recording. I do this for my workshops. The live content has considerably more value than the recording because participants can interact with me.
